Saturday

Today I spent the morning in Broadway Market followed by an afternoon in the pub with some good board games and even better company.
As the temperatures continue to drop here in London, I wrapped up warm and today I’m wearing: G-star leather jacket, All Saints jumper, Urban Outfitters suede detail leggings and Burberry high tops. I finished my look with a vintage crocodile cross body handbag and a Burberry scarf.
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far!

French Toast

I don’t usually write food posts but as the days grow shorter and the mornings colder I find myself needing some comfort food.
I love a good breakfast, be it a Full Irish, some American pancakes or my new favourite, French Toast.
Having a slight intolerance to dairy and a worryingly strong sweet tooth, I am always on the lookout for alternative recipes. This recipe takes only 5 minutes to make and only clocks in at 250/300 calories depending on what bread you use.

Ingredients
1/4 Cup of Koko Coconut Milk
1 egg
2 tsp Natural Xylitol
Agave Nectar
2 Slices of bread. If I have access to a Bakery I buy Honey&Spelt or a nice Sourdough.Alternatively Vogel’s Soya&Linseed is also really nice and not too heavy.
Optional:Cinnamon/Almond Flakes/Lemon Zest

Method
1. Beat egg, in shallow dish. Stir in milk and Natural Xylitol. (Can add almond flakes here or grate in some Lemon Zest)
2. Dip bread in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides evenly.
3.Cook bread slices on lightly greased nonstick pan on medium heat until browned on both sides.
4. Plate up and drizzle with Agave Nectar and some cinnamon if you wish.

Christmas Jumper

I know Halloween is just over but Christmas is now fast approaching (as the M&S ‘Christmas Department’ keeps reminding me).
I love getting into the Christmas spirit with decorations, Secret Santa and of course, the Christmas jumper!
This tradition is growing in popularity yearly and we are inundated for choice when it comes to jolly jumpers but it’s quite often hard to find ones which are good quality and can be worn when the holidays are over.
I was delighted when Lyle & Scott decided to launch their first ever ‘Festive Range’ Made in Scotland from 100% Lambswool, the range consists of three different styles all of which were inspired by a snowflake motif from the Lyle & Scott archive.
The jumpers will retail for £125 each at our Carnaby Street store and online at http://www.lyleandscott.com.
